Conspiracy

Clarkson Hirst Solicitors

Conspiracy in effect is an agreement with another to commit an offence. Examples of a conspiracy may be in conspiracy to fraud, conspiracy to supply drugs etc.

It is accepted in law that there are difference levels in a conspiracy and it is often described as a wheel within the nub in the centre and others involved in the conspiracy are like the spokes on the outside depending on their level of involvement. If a person is charged with a conspiracy the case will be dealt with in the Crown Court. Depending on the offence will depend on the maximum sentence.
