Clarkson Hirst Solicitors back Asbestos Safety Campaign by the Health and Safety Executive
Clarkson Hirst Solicitors back asbestos safety campaign by the Health and Safety Executive – 9th February 2015
The Health and Safety Executive are urging all trades people to be aware of asbestos and take sensible measures against the hidden killer.
England football star Stuart Pearce has revealed he could have breathed in the deadly dust whilst working part time as an electrician during his early football career. Whilst safe work with asbestos has come a long way since Pearce was working as an electrician in the early 1980s it remains a very real danger today according to the Health and Safety Executive. The Health and Safety Executive estimate that 1.3 million trades people are still potentially at risk of being exposed to the microscopic fibre that can prove fatal if breathed in.
The England football legend supports the health and safety campaign to encourage workers to use the Health and Safety Executives free web application for phones, tablets, and PCs that helps people easily identify where they could come into contact with asbestos as they go about their day to day work and give them easy to follow guides on how to deal with work safely.
You can get a free web application from the Health and Safety Executive and information from their website on asbestos safety.
